Farewell to Innocence-Intro

Everyone is born innocent. The world around them begins to corrupt them slowly from the inside out. Some succumb to it, while others keep a grasp on the first thing they knew at birth. As time continues you learn to trust no one even yourself, because even you can deceive yourself in the right circumstances. All too soon you find yourself swept away into the dark abyss of the world. Consumed but hatred, lies, lust, sin, love, and power. Where can you turn? Whom can you ever fully trust? Will the ones who love you still betray you, without so much as a glance of remorse? These are the questions Amethyst would soon be asking. As you sit and watch her tale spin out like a spider web, ask yourself.  Do you pity her? Or would you take the same path as she does? For she had a choice, we all do, but once you bid farewell to the mask of innocence, a new maks is placed upon your face. One that hides the person you were born as, and you begin your life as the person you will become.
